Christian, Wife, Mother, Grammy, Friend, Business Owner and Local Food Advocate. That’s a good place to start for an introduction to “Patty on the Farm”. I am excited to share stories, past and present, of my life on our family farm. I’m inviting you to come along for a journey. Good times, challenges, joys and sorrows. What you will get here is an insider’s view of ‘life’ in a rural neighborhood, life on a family farm.
I am the fifth generation and my four sons the sixth on the Lange family farm located in southeast Indiana, Decatur County. Promoting the benefits of local food and the sustainability of family farms is a one of my passions, so you’re going to learn more about this. I believe the we need to secure our food safety and reconnect with local farmers.
Agriculture and family farms provide stability and an economic boost to our communities. And of course there are all those flavorful, nutritious homegrown food products that are available for you to eat and enjoy too!
And you’re invited to share some laughs with me because one thing is for certain, a sense of humor is a necessity for survival. Sometimes ‘crazy’ just happens and you can’t make this stuff up. Welcome aboard, the journey begins…
